The new Agatha Christie movie Death on the Nile is coming out next month. I’m hoping it’s good. I don’t think a lot of the Agatha Christie film adaptations have been that great. A revelation that came after watching the trailer is that my wife has never read an Agatha Christie novel. I immediately purchased Death on the Nile for her because it’s my favorite Agatha Christie book.
Hercule Poirot, the Belgian detective, is Christie’s best character creation. She wrote over 30 novels that include Hercule Poirot. It’s amazing the longevity of Poirot. I’ve compiled a list of all of the Hercule Poirot books in order.
I also wanted to see how the Poirot books stack up against each other. I find gathering Goodreads data to be an interesting way to look at groups of books. Below I gathered the Goodreads rating for each book and how many ratings each book had.
Here are the Hercule Poirot books in order of publication.
